May 15, 2016

The 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, formally known as the Formula 1 Gran Premio de España, took place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Catalunya, Spain, on May 15, 2016.

The race was a historic one for Max Verstappen, who became the youngest ever winner in Formula 1 at the age of 18 years and 228 days. Verstappen's victory was also Red Bull's first win of the 2016 season.

The race was a dramatic one, with several lead changes and safety car periods. Verstappen took the lead for the final time on lap 44, and held on to win by a margin of 0.6 seconds over Kimi Räikkönen. Lewis Hamilton finished third, followed by Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel.

Verstappen's victory was a major upset, as he had started the race in fourth place. However, he was able to take advantage of the chaos of the race to move up the field and claim his first Formula 1 victory.

Verstappen's victory is a sign of the changing guard in Formula 1. The young Dutchman is one of the most talented drivers in the sport, and his victory in Spain is sure to be the first of many.
